Teespring last name campaign on Facebook

Teespring last name campaign on Facebook is a very profitable niche because everybody has a last name, and most people are pretty passionate when it comes to their family. It is one of the easiest ways to make a successful campaign. Facebook cracks down on this a while ago, and today we are going to look into how to go around this.

What You Will Learn:

  • How to use FB Graph Scraper to collect your audience by their last name
  • How to add the secret ingredient so all your ads get approved!
  • Best practice when creating last name fan pages

UPDATE: BE CAREFUL WHEN USING LAST NAME AUDIENCE BECAUSE MANY FACEBOOK ACCOUNTS HAVE BEEN SHUTDOWN FOR TARGETING THE LAST NAME.

 Gathering Your Custom Audience

First to target last name audience on Facebook, you need to use a scraper. There are many on the market, but the best one is Social Lead Freak. You’ll have to sign up to the freak member to have access to this feature. In this example we will be targeting people with the last name Gauthier.

The Secret Ingredient

Facebook won’t let us target only people with last name Gauthier (they know what we are up to). We need to add the secret ingredient to get our ad approved. The secret ingredient is NORWAY!

That’s right! We need to gather a list of people that live in a country that we won’t be targeting. For example, Norway. I love Norway but I’m pretty sure not many Gauthier are living there. So let’s collect a sample of people who live in Norway. Keep in mind that you can re-use your “secret ingredient” list for other campaigns!

Once we have our lists, we can create our Facebook advertising. Head over to ad creation and create your campaign. Upload both custom audience and change the location to exclude Norway. I named the Gauthier list G so Facebook doesn’t know what I’m up to! 😉

Now that we have excluded Norway from our target, we can put our ad live and Facebook will approve it!

Best Practice When Creating Last Name Fan Pages:

  • Create 2 pieces of the image. One thumbnail and one cover photo to make your page interesting.
  • imageUse these dimensions for your images:

  • Interact with your fans and welcome them as they join your page.
  • Try to put interesting link to articles like where the last name is from or fun facts about the name.
